these questions to get familiar with what employers may ask in your face
to face interviews.
1. Describe a time on any job in which you were faced with problems
or stresses which tested your coping skills. What did you do?
2.Give an example of a specific occasion in which you conformed to
a policy with which you did not agree. Did you pursue a change?
3.Tell me about a time in which you had to use your oral communication
skills in order to get a point across that was important to you or to
be sure that other people knew what you thought or felt.
4.Give an example of a time in which you had to use your fact-finding
skill to gain information for solving a problem, then tell me how you
analyzed the information to reach a decision.
5.Decscribe a situation in which you were able to effectively “read”
another person and guide actions by your understanding of their individual
needs or values.
6.How do you set priorities on your current job?
7.Describe the most creative work-related project which you have carried
out.
8.What did you do in your last job to contribute toward a teamwork
environment? Be specific.
9.Give me an example of a time when you needed to devote extra effort
in order to complete an assignment. What steps did you follow?
10.Describe a time when you were assigned a project or initiative in
which you had no prior experience.
11.Describe the type of work environment in which you do your best
work.
12.Describe the most difficult manager or supervisor for whom you have
worked? What did you do to relieve this stress?
13.Can you describe the skills and characteristics of your ideal manager?
Have you or are you working for someone like that now?
14. Take a moment to think back over your career…what was the biggest
disappointment you ever faced? What did you learn from it?
